Self Limitations

It’s been 2 months since my debut single ‘We Learn’ has been released.  If you haven’t heard it yet, please check it out wherever you stream music ('We Learn').  The next single from the Album is coming soon, so stay tuned! This project has been so much more than music, and I appreciate all the support and encouragement from you along the way as I work to expand the boundaries of who I am, what I can do, where I can go, and how I can be a positive influencer in my community and more.

We are the creators of our own boundaries.  We set our own limitations. We are the measure of our success and failure.  For such a simple concept, it is not an easy one to live by. It’s hard work pushing against those internal limitations and beliefs.  It’s messy. We’ve spent our whole lives setting them. Hell, those limitations were around well before us, being played out in our parents and their parents before them and so on. They subconsciously guide us until something or someone jolts us awake and we can clearly see their hold.  Only then can we start to break negative cycles.

For me, I’ve struggled with a belief that I’m not good enough and that I don’t have a say in my life.  I think we all carry that one to some extent and it’s completely false. (If you carry that one, daily positive affirmations are a good place to start!).  I know exactly where it comes from now and I’m trying real hard not to pass that onto my children. As I’m overcoming it, other subconscious limitations are bubbling to the surface.  Urgh. Growth. Will it ever end? Probably not. And in reality, I don’t really want it to.

Give yourself permission to succeed and grow. Permission to do what you love.  Permission to speak up when things do not feel right and permission to change and guide your future.  Permission to wake up excited about what the day will bring, while it is still here.

Tomorrow, Friday Jan 17th I will be releasing a video for ‘We Learn’.  You’ll be able to find it on my YouTube Channel and my website (Kristen's YouTube Channel).  Be sure to subscribe to keep updated on future videos.  I hope you enjoy it and I hope it will inspire you to grow and find your own boundaries.

Warmly,

Kristen
